No, the app is free to download and free to own. Enjoy!
Can I use my phone as a Nectar card by swiping it in store?
Unfortunately, due to some technical limitations, not all Nectar partners can scan phones. So don't forget to hand over your Nectar card or key tag at the check out!

The offers on the app are exclusive to Nectar app users.
Can I collect points on my online shopping through the app?
Yes, you can collect points when you shop at over 60 retailers via the app.
It is possible to collect Nectar points on virtually anything you buy online from your home computer. Choose from over 500 stores including favourites like Amazon and Argos. Simply go via Nectar eShops before you shop.
How does the app get updated?
Should there be an update to the app, there will be a notification in the App Store and Google Play.
How do I remove the app?
You can uninstall it just like any other app. Don't worry, there will still be some great offers waiting for you, should you download the app again.
Do I need an internet connection to access all the functions?
You don't need an internet connection to use the app, although you will need to connect to get your latest offers.
What if I do not get an internet connection in a Sainsbury's store?
Just make sure that you opt-in to your offers by the end of the day, when you have reception again. If your transaction qualified, you'll still get your bonus points, and they will be awarded within 28 days.
How do I log in to the app?
You will need to enter the last 11 digits of your Nectar card number along with your surname and postcode. This will be the postcode you gave us when you registered with Nectar. If any of your details have changed, please contact us so that we can update your account.
How do I see my bonus points offers?
The Nectar app displays bonus offers specially chosen for you. Open the Bonus Points section of the app to view your new and current bonus offers.
For some offers, you'll need to opt-in - just select the yellow button by the offer. Your opt-in to the offer will be valid for as long as the offer is valid. When you make a qualifying purchase, your bonus points will be awarded within 28 days.
How long does it take for bonus points to be awarded?
Typically it takes around 7 days to award points on qualifying transactions, but it could be up to 28 days. Please be patient, as it takes a few days for all the information to get to Nectar and for us to award you the points. If the points haven't arrived within 28 days from qualifying for the offer please contact us, and we'll look into it.
How often are offers updated?
You should receive new offers every one or two weeks.
Once I accept an offer, how long will it be valid for?
Your opt-in to the offer will be valid for as long as the offer is valid.
What is the store locator?
The store locator helps you find places to collect and spend Nectar points near you, and displays them on a map. You can either use the built in GPS to find your nearest stores, or you can search using an address.
