Redeeming your points at Sainsbury's for money off your shopping has never been easier.

For the first time since the launch of Nectar, you can now redeem points at any Sainsbury's store straight from your Nectar card...

You'll need to activate your card at each store you want to redeem your points in. To activate a new store simply shop at that store and use your Nectar card. 48 hours later your card will be active at that store and you'll be able to redeem points on your next visit. Just tell the cashier that you want to spend your points straight from your card when you're at the till. The points are instantly deducted from your account and the discount taken off your shopping bill.

You can activate your card at as many stores as you like, and they'll remain active as long as you visit them once every 3 months.

Every 500 points is worth £2.50 off your shopping and you can redeem as many blocks of 500 points as you like, up to the total cost of your shopping.

Alternatively, you can order specific Nectar vouchers to use in any Sainsbury's store or petrol station. You can order these online or by calling Nectar directly. These vouchers will be posted out to you within 10 working days. For more information, see the "Getting Your Reward" section.

This is a voucher base reward. Vouchers can take up to 7 working days for delivery.

Sainsbury's vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.

How to get your treat

A. Redeem straight from your Nectar card.

Simply hand your Nectar card over when paying for your shopping and tell the cashier how many points you wish to redeem (subject to Nectar card redemption conditions as stated in the "Terms & conditions").

B. Offer specific voucher.

  1. Simply enter the number of vouchers you require above and click on 'Redeem now'. Alternatively, if you prefer to speak to a member of the Nectar Team, please call 0844 811 0811.
  2. Sainsbury's vouchers will be delivered to you within 7 working days.
  3. When shopping at Sainsbury's, simply hand in your voucher(s) at the till to get money-off your bill.
  4. Sainsbury's voucher(s) can be redeemed in Sainsbury's stores including Sainsbury's Calais and Sainsbury's petrol stations only.

A. Instant Redemption straight from card

  1. You must have spent over £1 and earned Nectar points in store in the last 60 weeks in order to be able to redeem points on your next visit (excluding petrol stations).
  2. 48 hours after your first visit to a store you'll be able to redeem points at that store straight from your card.
  3. Cards can be activated at as many Sainsbury's stores as you like.
  4. You'll be able to redeem at each store so long as you shop there once every 60 weeks with your Nectar card. If you haven't visited a store in over 60 weeks simply shop there again with your Nectar card and 48 hours later you'll be able to redeem your points there.
  5. Points cannot be redeemed and vouchers cannot be used in Beaumonts.
  6. Points cannot be redeemed and vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discounted rate, unless otherwise stated.
  7. Certain in-store concessions are not included, please ask in-store for more details.
  8. No redemption is accepted until Sainsbury's has confirmed it to you.

B. Offer specific voucher.

  1. Sainsbury's specific Reward vouchers are issued by Loyalty Management UK Limited for use at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd only.
  2. Vouchers are to be handed to the cashier at Sainsbury's at the time of purchase and, if all conditions are met, you will be entitled to the reward specified on the voucher.
  3. Each voucher entitles the holder to £2.50 off relevant transactions.
  4. Vouchers are not valid beyond the expiry date shown on the front.
  5. Vouchers can only be redeemed in store at Sainsbury's including Sainsbury's Calais and Sainsbury's petrol stations and must be presented at the till when paying for your purchases.
  6. Vouchers cannot be redeemed against online shopping, in Sainsbury's concessions, franchises or restaurants, nor in Beaumonts or "Sainsbury's @" stores.
  7. Vouchers can be used as part payment. If the price of the goods exceeds this value, the balance must be paid on purchase.
  8. If the price of the goods is less than this value, no change will be given.
  9. Points will not be refunded for vouchers not used by their expiry date.
  10. Vouchers cannot be used for the purchase of financial services or to obtain cash advances, nor can they be sold or transferred for value.
  11. Damaged, defaced or photocopied vouchers will not be accepted.
  12. Vouchers remain the property of Loyalty Management UK Ltd.
  13. Points cannot be redeemed and vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discounted rate, unless otherwise stated.
