British Gas is the nation's leading energy, maintenance and repair provider. More people choose British Gas to supply energy and install central heating systems to their homes than any other supplier.
British Gas also provides plumbing and drain services as well as home gas, electrical and kitchen appliance care.
Make sure you're ready for any central heating or boiler emergency with HomeCare™ products designed to protect your boiler and central heating systems.
British Gas has searched the UK to get feedback on the quality of their services, leading to the creation of a Customer Board in 2011. This has led to recommendations including a redesigned bill and the introduction of video chat with customer service agents. Find out more here.
Provided you have at least one British Gas electricity or gas account and a Nectar card, you will collect points automatically every quarter once you have linked accounts. The more accounts you have, the more points you can collect - plus boost your balance further by taking out more services and products. For a full tariff see the table above.
Provided you already have a Nectar card, click here and follow the instructions to register to collect points with British Gas.
Unfortunately, all ways to collect points with British Gas exclude pre-payment customers. For full terms and conditions, click here.
Once you link accounts, points for being a British Gas customer will be added three months later. All other bonus points are added 14 days after the qualifying action is taken.
There's no limit to the number of British Gas accounts that you can use to collect points - for example you can collect with separate gas and electricity accounts. There are also various ways to pick up bonus points, from signing up to paperless billing, to paying via direct debit. See above for full details.
You won't lose any points that you have already collected with your linked accounts. However, you will no longer be eligible to collect points on any accounts as soon as the switch or cancellation is confirmed. If you have more than one account, you will continue to collect points with accounts that remain open, but you may not be eligible for all offers and bonus points promotions linked to having multiple accounts.
No, but click here to see all the ways you can spend your points once you're collecting with British Gas.
