Over 4.5 million shoppers regularly look for Clothing, Shoes and Accessories on eBay.co.uk. Transaction volume on eBay Fashion grew 30% YoY over 2010, outstripping the market.Globally in 2011, eBay transacted $5billion through mobile devices, an overall increase of 150% from 2010. eBay is predicting $10 billion of transactions taking place via a mobile device in 2012, revised upwards from $8 billion.
In the UK an item is purchased every second on eBay via a mobile device. eBay.co.uk is owned by eBay Inc, which has expanded to include a range of brands that help consumers find and purchase the goods they want. These brands include eBay, PayPal, Shopping.com, RedLaser, Milo and others.
You'll just need to link your Nectar and eBay accounts first - once this is done you'll collect points each time you shop from eligible categories and check out using PayPal.
For every £1 you spend on eligible purchases, you'll collect 1 Nectar point.
Items in some eBay categories are excluded from being able to collect points, including Holidays and Travel and Property. See the "exclusions" section of the terms and conditions for a full list.
Points will be added to your account within 28 days. If you're waiting for points, don't forget to check your Nectar points statement. If 28 days have passed and you're still missing points, we'd be happy to investigate: please contact us.
Keep an eye out for bonus point promotions throughout the year, which are a great way to boost your balance further.
Unfortunately, the link needs to be in place before you can collect points, therefore only transactions completed after you've linked accounts are eligible for collecting points.
If for whatever reason you are refunded for an item you purchased and collected points on, the points will be deducted from your Nectar account within 28 days of the refund being processed.
You can collect up to 5,000 points per item purchased. This limit is increased during promotional periods - for example, if you purchase an item for £6,000.00 (and so would collect a maximum of 5,000 base Nectar points) and have a bonus points offer enabling you to collect double Nectar points, you will collect 10,000 Nectar points in total.
Nectar, the UK's largest loyalty programme, has made arrangements with eBay to offer eBay buyers the opportunity to collect Nectar points on eligible items purchased on eBay.co.uk and paid for with PayPal on check out.
The below terms apply to all eBay users who choose to participate in Nectar on eBay.
In order to collect Nectar points on eBay.co.uk, you must have a Nectar card. If you don't already have one, register here.
To begin collecting Nectar points with eBay you must have an eBay.co.uk account, a Nectar account and link the two together. Once they are linked you can collect Nectar points every time you buy items on eBay.co.uk where the Nectar logo is displayed on the view item page and you check out using PayPal.
You will not collect Nectar points on any transactions that occurred before you linked your eBay.co.uk and Nectar accounts.
You will receive one Nectar point per £1 you spend per item up to a maximum of 5000 Nectar points. If you spend £xx.99, this will be rounded up for the purposes of collecting Nectar points. Anything less will be rounded down. As an example - if you spend £29.99, you will receive 30 Nectar points. If you spend £29.95, you will receive 29 Nectar points.
Please note that points are generally calculated per item not on the total purchase price. For example, if you purchase 3 items in a single transaction worth £4.95 each, you will receive 4 Nectar points for each item for a total of 12 Nectar points.
However, if you buy multiple quantities of the same item from the same seller, the points for those items will be calculated based on the total price. For example if you buy 2 of the same item from the same seller for £5.99 each , the points will be calculated based on a total price of £11.98, and you will receive 11 points.
Nectar points are calculated according to the actual amount spent on the item. If vouchers or any other discounts are applicable, the points will be calculated after the discount is applied. Any amount spent on postage & packaging or any taxes not included in the item price will not be taken into consideration.
If items are bought from sellers outside the UK, payment may be subject to a conversion rate. The amount of Nectar points you can collect on such transactions will depend upon the final purchase price paid on PayPal (except any amount spent on postage & packaging or any taxes not included in the item price).Collected Nectar points will be credited to your Nectar account within 28 days of paying for an eligible item.
If you receive a refund for any reason on the purchased items, the awarded Nectar points will be deducted from your Nectar account within 28 days of the refund. Points deductions for refunds of multiple items are calculated on the individual item price.
You can collect up to 5,000 Nectar points per item. This limit also applies to bonus points promotions but is increased in line with the promotion. For example - if you purchase an item for £6,000.00 (and so would collect a maximum of 5,000 base Nectar points) and have a bonus points offer enabling you to collect double Nectar points, you will collect 10,000 Nectar points in total.
You can also collect Nectar points when using the eBay mobile app or mobile web, as long as your eBay and Nectar accounts are already linked and you checkout using PayPal. Please note: points can only be collected on eligible items. The Nectar logo will NOT be visible on the view item page in the mobile app or mobile web.
Please see below for a full list of applicable exclusions regarding items/categories/sellers. You will also be unable to link your accounts on the mobile app or mobile web. Please ensure that you have already linked your accounts.
