How to collect points with Sainsbury's

Collect in store

Collect points in store at Sainbury's by simply handing over your Nectar card at the till before payment (or swiping it in the case of automatic checkouts). Re-use your bags at Sainsbury's and you'll also be rewarded with 1 Nectar for point for every bag you re-use.

You can also collect points in Sainsbury's petrol stations, where you will collect 1 point for every litre of fuel purchased, and in Sainsbury's in store cafés. Just hand your Nectar card over at the till to collect your points.

Collect online

As well as collecting points in Sainsbury's stores, you can also collect online at sainsburys.co.uk. You'll find everything from groceries to furniture, kitchenware and technology.

Just enter your Nectar card number when you're at the online checkout to collect your points. Once entered, Sainsbury.co.uk will remember your details so you'll collect points every time you shop.

Collect when you order groceries and goods by phone

You can purchase Sainsbury's groceries and other goods on the phone by calling 0800 328 1700 from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.*** The telephone agent will prompt you for your Nectar card number before payment is taken.

*Collect 2 points per £1 spent at Sainsbury's supermarkets or on sainsburys.co.uk in the UK, subject to the following conditions. In addition, collect 1 point per litre of fuel purchased at Sainsbury's petrol stations. Collect points on spending on certain Sainsbury's credit cards once you've registered to do so with Sainsbury's Finance. Collect 1 point per bag when you re-use any bag in Sainsbury's stores by presenting your bags to the Sainsbury's cashier at the beginning of your in-store transaction.

Points are not available on the following limited range of Sainsbury's goods and services: savings stamps, car park tickets, vending machines, cash back, postage stamps, gift vouchers, baby milk products, lottery tickets, tobacco kiosk, proprietary medicine, mobile phone cards and mobile phone vouchers.
