Sainsbury's has over 1,000 stores, employing around 150,000 people. Outlets range from convenience stores to hypermarkets, all designed to create the best possible shopping experience.
Shop for everything from groceries to clothes to furniture either in store or online.
Sainsbury's is passionate about protecting the environment and has a plan of 20 key commitments, ranging from supplier animal welfare and fair trade standards, to making sure the best quality products are on the shelves. Find out more here.
You can collect Nectar points by swiping your card at the till in Sainsbury's stores, cafes and petrol stations. You can also collect points online through Nectar eShops, on both grocery and non-grocery products, or via Sainsbury's.co.uk.
The number of points you can collect depends on what you are buying. You'll get 2 points per £1 spent in store or online and 1 point per litre of fuel purchased at Sainsbury's petrol stations. You'll also pick up an extra point for every bag you reuse in store.
Exclusions do apply on various Sainsbury's goods and services. See terms and conditions to find out more.
Nectar points collected with Sainsbury's in store will appear in your account automatically - check your receipt to see your balance. If you shop online, points will be credited within 28 days. If you're waiting for points to be credited, you can check your Nectar points statement. If 28 days have elapsed and you haven't received your points, we'd be happy to investigate: contact Nectar here.
Keep an eye out for bonus points promotions throughout the year - plus take advantage of offers tailor made for you on coupons printed with your receipt at the till in store. You can also collect an extra 50 points every time you place an online grocery shop order, provided you start at nectar.com.
There are several reasons that this may have happened - points should show on your receipt straight away, but if you shop every day, the total may take a little time to update. If you share your account with another cardholder, they may have recently spent points which would have been deducted. Finally, bonus points aren't shown separately, so you may not have noticed these in your total.
Sainsbury's will credit points from up to two receipts, provided you return with them within 14 days. Simply take your Nectar card and receipt back to the store where you made the transaction.
You can spend points in store by swiping your card at the till. 500 points = £2.50 to spend, so just tell the cashier how many multiples of 500 points you'd like to use. You can also spend your points online, either by purchasing an e-voucher to use at Sainsburys.co.uk, or by purchasing a separate e-voucher to use at Sainsbury's Entertainment.
Provided you've previously used your card in a store in the past 12 months, you'll be able to spend points there. If that isn't the case, use your card to collect points once and you'll be able to spend points in that store 24 hours later.
