The Body Shop and MTV team up for charity
The Body Shop is collaborating with MTV Networks International on a global campaign to raise funds for an HIV and Aids charity, it has emerged.
Marketing Week reported today that the bath and body care retailer has manufactured a new lipcare product - Guarana Lip Butter - which will be sold in The Body Ship stores in around 55 countries worldwide.
All proceeds from the Move Your Lips campaign will benefit the Staying Alive Foundation, a charity initiative founded by MTV in 1995.
Funds will be used to provide grants for HIV prevention initiatives and to support a number of global awareness projects focused on HIV and Aids.
Previous collaborations between The Body Shop and MTV include the Spray To Change Attitudes campaign, which launched a new charity fragrance - Rougeberry Eau de Toilette.
The Body Shop was started in Brighton by Anita Roddick in 1976. The firm is now owned by L'Oreal.
