NBC Universal content released on iTunes
NBC Universal have come to a deal with Apple in the UK regarding putting their programmes on iTunes.
The UK Apple iTunes store has agreed to be flexible regarding its pricing policy and, as a result, customers will now be able to download programmes such as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, The Incredible Hulk and the latest series of Heroes and House.
Heroes is available for £1.89 and The Incredible Hulk is priced at £1.19. Universal left iTunes in the US after Apple refused to adapt its one price fits all policy.
This news comes after ITV's announcement that over 260 hours of its archive programmes, including Inspector Morse and The Saint, are to be made available on iTunes.
Plans to release more recent ITV content are also being discussed but, if they were to go ahead, programmes would not be put on iTunes until 30 days after they were originally broadcast.
Earlier in the year, the BBC also revealed it was making some of its programmes available for download on the website.
