Nectar is the UK's leading coalition loyalty programme. Collect Nectar points on your everyday shopping and then spend them on the treats you deserve - it's that simple.

Where is the Nectar card on my App?
The Sainsbury's iPhone App is not designed to be used instead of your Nectar card or key fob. Don't forget to swipe your card or key fob when you shop

Once I tap the "I want it" button, how long is the offer valid for?
Your opt-in to the offer will be valid for as long as the offer is valid: the offer start and end dates are shown under the "I want it" button
How long does it take for bonus points to be awarded?
Typically it will take 7 days to award points on qualifying transactions, but it could be up to 28 days as it takes a few days for all the information to get to Nectar and for Nectar to award you the points.
If your points haven't arrived after 28 days from your qualifying purchase, please contact Nectar who will look into this for you. You can do this via:
Can I shop online using the App?
No. Not at the current time
Can I collect points on my online shopping through the app?
Not yet, but it is something that we are working on. If you do shop online, don't forget that you can collect Nectar points on virtually anything you buy online from your home computer. Choose from over 500 stores including favourites like sainsburys.co.uk and Argos. Simply go via www.nectar.com/eshops every time you shop online
Can I use my phone as a Nectar card by swiping it in store?
No. Unfortunately due to some technical limitations, our stores cannot scan barcodes held on the iPhone. So don't forget to hand over your Nectar card or key tag at the till!
Do I need an internet connection to access all the functions?
No. You don't need an internet connection to use the app, although you will need to connect to get your latest offers.
Can I opt into an offer a few hours after I shopped at Sainsbury's?
Don't worry - if your transaction qualified, you'll still get your bonus points. Just make sure that you have opted into offers before the end of the day. Your points will be awarded within 28 days.
What if I can't get a connection in a Sainsbury's store?
Just make sure that you opt-in to your offers by the end of the day, when you have reception again. We will log your purchases and you will receive the bonus points within 28 days as usual.
How do I provide feedback or suggestions to improve the app?
We'd welcome your suggestions! The contact us section of nectar.com lists all the ways to contact Nectar.
How do I remove the app?
We're sorry that you do not want the App on your iPhone any more. You can uninstall it just like any other App either through iTunes or directly from your iPhone.
Don't worry, if you chose to download the App again in the future there will be some great personalised offers waiting for you

Sainsbury's may change, suspend or discontinue the App at any time, including the availability of any feature, database, or content. You shall be responsible for obtaining and maintaining any equipment or ancillary services needed to connect to, access or otherwise use the App.
The Sainsbury's app is operated by Aimia Coalition Loyalty UK Ltd on behalf of Sainsbury's. To provide the services in this app, we will pass limited information to Aimia Coalition Loyalty UK Ltd who operates the Nectar programme. Additionally, we will look at your geographical location and the products you buy. We may use this information for market research and statistical analysis to enable us to offer you information about products and services that may interest you, provide you with Nectar points offers and to help us to develop this app.

Sainsbury's respects, and is committed to protecting, your privacy, so we do not sell, rent or loan any information that identifies you to any third party without your consent. Information given to us will be shared within the Sainsbury's group of companies and Sainsbury's Bank, for those who order online or join Sainsbury's Diets, with our agents and other third parties who need your information to enable your service to be provided. Sainsbury's may change the App or delete features in any way, at any time and for any reason. You may not use the App for any of the following purposes: disseminating any unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable material. Engaging in technically harmful behaviour, which includes but is not limited to: computer viruses, logic bombs, trojan horses, worms, harmful components, corrupted data and other malicious software or harmful data
The content of the App are protected by copyright, trade marks, database and other intellectual property rights. You may retrieve and display the content of the App on appropriate apple hardware for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all and any copyright and proprietary notices. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the materials or content on the App without written permission from Sainsbury's.
You agree to indemnify and hold Sainsbury's harmless from all liabilities, claims and expenses that arise out of the content you submit, post or transmit via the App, or from your use/misuse of the sites or the use/misuse by any person for whom you are responsible or from your violation of these Terms and Conditions.
You agree that your dealings with Third Party Suppliers found on or through the service including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and the Third Party Supplier, and you agree not to hold Sainsbury's liable for any disputes you may have with such Third Party Supplier.
This App is provided on an "AS IS" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Sainsbury's assumes no liability for any viruses or any other disabling features that affect your access to or use of the App. Sainsbury's assumes no liability for any incompatibility between the App, services, software and hardware. Sainsbury's assumes no liability for any delays or failures you may experience in initiating, conducting or completing any transmissions or transactions in connection with the App. Sainsbury's assumes no liability for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of any of its App. Sainsbury's assume no liability for any use of the App including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damages or any loss of profits, loss of revenue business interruption, loss or programme or otherwise. The failure of either party to exercise in any respect any right provided for herein shall not be deemed a waiver of any further rights hereunder. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this Agreement shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
