What is the Nectar Search Toolbar?

The Nectar Search Toolbar is a free and safe application that sits on your Internet browser and offers you useful and engaging features. Including issuing Nectar points for web searches made (1 point per 2 valid searches up to 100 points per month) and a prompting feature which informs you if you can collect Nectar points at the website you are visiting.

When will I get my points?

Once installed you can begin collecting points immediately on the web searches you make. You will see the search and points counter on the toolbar increasing the more searches you make. Points will hit your account within 28 days. You must perform an active and valid search in order to receive all Nectar point promotions including Bonus points. Bonus points will be credited to your account within 28 days.

Do I have to be logged into nectar.com to download the tool bar?

No you are not required to be logged into Nectar.com however when you download the toolbar it will prompt you to activate it by inputting your Nectar Card number if you do not see the purple bar prompting you for your number then click on the Nectar.com button in the toolbar and the select Activate. Once activated, it should remain activate unless you choose to deactivate it.

Will the Nectar Search Toolbar install spyware, adware or malware on my computer?

No. The Nectar Search Toolbar is free from spyware, adware and malware.

Will Nectar have access to my search information

No. Individual search data is not passed on to Nectar.

What operating systems and browsers is the Nectar Search Toolbar compatible with?

The Nectar Search Toolbar works with Internet Explorer and Firefox on Windows, and Firefox on Macintosh and Linux operating systems.

Do I have to pay to download and use the Nectar Search Toolbar?

No. The Nectar Search Toolbar is 100% free to use!

Will I still be able to receive the same quality search results that I do with my current search engine?

We are sorry to hear that. To uninstall click on the Nectar.com button in the Toolbar and select Uninstall.

Uninstalling the Nectar Search Toolbar Using Internet Explorer
Go to the "Start" menu, select "Control Panel," go to "Add/Remove Programs" and remove the Nectar Search Toolbar that you no longer want. Once you have removed the Nectar Search Toolbar, restart your computer.

Uninstalling the Nectar Search Toolbar Using Firefox
Go to "Tools" and click on "Add-ons." Highlight "delete the [xx] Nectar Search Toolbar" and click "Uninstall".

It won't let me install the Nectar Search Toolbar!

If you are unable to install the Nectar Search Toolbar and are receiving strange errors, you may not have the admin privileges on your computer. Be sure that you are on the computers administrator account. You may need to contact the computers administrator and have them install the Nectar Search Toolbar.

I installed the Nectar Search Toolbar, but I still do not see it. What should I do?

The Nectar Search Toolbar is Hidden (Internet Explorer)
In your IE menu bar, open the View menu, and select "Nectar Search Toolbars." There should be a check mark next to " Nectar Search Toolbar." If there is no check mark, the Nectar Search Toolbar is disabled and will not be visible. If it is already checked, IE may not recognize it. Try unchecking it and then checking it again. If you still do not see the Nectar Search Toolbar on your browser, the Nectar Search Toolbar is not properly installed. Go back to the Nectar Search Toolbar webpage and try reinstalling it.

The Nectar Search Toolbar is Hidden (Firefox)
In your Mozilla menu bar, go to the "View" menu and select "Nectar Search Toolbars." Next to the " Nectar Search Toolbar" there should be a check mark. If there is no check mark, the Nectar Search Toolbar is hidden. If it is already checked, Mozilla may not be recognizing the Nectar Search Toolbar. Try unchecking it and checking it again. If you still do not see the Nectar Search Toolbar, the Nectar Search Toolbar is not properly installed. Go back to the Nectar Search Toolbar download page and try installing it again.

If the above doesnt work try reinstalling it again via the Nectar Search download page on Nectar.com

How can I move the Nectar Search Toolbar to a different location?

If you are using Internet Explorer 6.0, you must first unlock the Nectar Search Toolbar before you can move it. To do this, right click on the Nectar Search Toolbar and deselect the "Lock the Nectar Search Toolbars" option.

Note: You can only move the Nectar Search Toolbar to locations at the top of your browser window. Nectar Search Toolbars cannot be placed on the side or the bottom of the browser window.

How do I search the internet?

Just go to the right of the logo, type in what you want to search for, and hit enter. It will automatically bring up the search results; it's that simple! Search results for websites that you can collect Nectar points with will display the Nectar logo alongside them
