My Nectar Prices Terms & Conditions

Personalised My Nectar Prices on selected products will be made available to you when you shop in-store using the Sainsbury’s SmartShop App or SmartShop handset and you are a digitally registered Nectar customer. Your My Nectar Prices will automatically be applied at checkout.  

  1. My Nectar Prices are available to United Kingdom in-store Sainsbury’s shoppers aged 18 and above who have a digitally registered Nectar card and have registered for SmartShop. You can register digitally with Nectar online at or download and register your card on the Nectar App.  
  2. My Nectar Prices are not available at groceries online, concessions or tobacco kiosks, petrol stations, Argos, Habitat or Tu clothing. 
  3. SmartShop is available in-store when using the SmartShop App or, where available, SmartShop handsets. To use SmartShop you must register and link your digitally registered Nectar card. You can register for SmartShop at a handset wall in-store or on the SmartShop App. To link SmartShop with Nectar, enter your digitally registered Nectar card details when registering.  
  4. My Nectar Prices are personalised to you based on your shopping habits using your Nectar card. The more you shop and use your Nectar card, the more personalised your My Nectar Prices will become.   Where more than one Nectar card is linked to a Nectar account, My Nectar Prices will be personalised to the shopping activities of the primary Nectar account holder. 
  5. Where household members hold their own digital Nectar and Smartshop registrations they will receive their own My Nectar Prices offers.  
  6. You will be able to see your My Nectar Prices when logged into your Nectar App or Nectar online ( or when logged into your SmartShop App. View your My Nectar Prices in your Nectar App, your SmartShop App or online either before or whilst shopping to see your personalised prices. You can download the Nectar App and SmartShop App at the App Store or at Google Play store. Apple and the Apple logo are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google Inc. My Nectar Prices are not available to view in-store or on the SmartShop handsets.
  7. To get My Nectar Prices simply scan the item using your SmartShop App or Handset. For eligible items your My Nectar Price will automatically be applied at checkout. 
  8. You can earn Nectar Points on your Sainsbury’s shopping including your My Nectar Prices products. Nectar Points will be awarded on the price paid by you.  
  9. Sainsbury’s selects products for inclusion in My Nectar Prices based on without limitation, shopping preference and legal requirements. Items included in the My Nectar Prices promotion are selected at our discretion and are subject to change.  There is no cash or other alternative to the stated offers. 
  10. My Nectar Prices can be used multiple times within the validity period for each My Nectar Price. See your Nectar App or Nectar online ( for validity periods, pricing, product size and any other relevant terms. In order to receive the My Nectar Price you must purchase the exact product shown.  
  11. We reserve the right to withdraw products or change My Nectar Prices at any time. My Nectar Prices cannot be applied retrospectively.  
  12. The usual price shown on My Nectar Prices is indicative and is based on the selling price in Beckton supermarket on the first day the My Nectar Price is made available. The usual selling price is subject to change. For example, where you are shown a My Nectar Price with a long duration, prices may change for operational reasons.   13. In the event the usual selling price is lower than your My Nectar Price you will always pay the lowest price.  
  14. All products are subject to availability. 
  15. Prices in supermarkets, central and local stores may differ, however your My Nectar Price will not change based on where you shop.  
  16. In the event that there is a service failure on the SmartShop App or handheld device which prevents the application of My Nectar Prices at checkout, we will: 
    1. attempt to notify you in the App or on the handheld device that there is a service failure and My Nectar Prices are currently unavailable; and  
    2. after your transaction is complete we will issue you with a Sainsbury’s voucher on your Nectar App within seven (7) days of your transaction for an amount equal to the difference between the amount you paid for your selected My Nectar Prices products and the amount you would have paid if the My Nectar Price had been applied to your transaction. Vouchers can only be used once, within six (6) months or such other date as is notified to you from the date of issue and can only be redeemed in self-serve or manned checkouts. You cannot redeem vouchers online, via Mobile Pay or at concessions or currency exchange. See voucher for any additional terms and conditions of use.  
  17. Items may be returned in accordance with the Sainsbury’s refund policy, which can be found here. Proof of purchase is required. Any refund due will be credited to the payment method used at checkout.

  21. We reserve the right to amend, alter, withdraw features or withdraw the My Nectar Prices service at any time for any reason and without notice.
