How does it work?
Answer
You can link any one Nectar account to one British Airways Club account or vice versa. You can link to a friend or family members account but can only ever be linked to one account.

You can link your accounts by following the link from either this page or the Nectar website.
How many accounts can I link to?
Answer
You can link one Nectar account to one British Airways Club account or vice versa. You can change the accounts you have linked up to a maximum of four times per year.
How will I know my accounts have been successfully linked?
Answer
You will receive a confirmation email after you have linked your accounts. You can also check your linked status on the Nectar website or the Avios website.
How do I unlink my accounts ?

Please note, unlinking accounts does not stop any auto-conversion subscriptions.

How do I convert points?
Answer
Once you’ve linked your accounts, you can convert points between accounts by following the link from either this page or the Nectar website.
How can I convert points automatically?
Answer
You can choose to set-up auto-conversion. Every week we will convert your entire balance, in your chosen direction. Balances will be converted in increments of 400 Nectar points or 400 Avios.
If you signed up to automatically convert Avios to Nectar points before 16 February 2021, then the conversion will continue to be processed on a weekly basis, with up to 10 days delay before points are credited to the Nectar account.

What are the minimum number of points I can convert?
Answer
Avios are converted in increments of 400 Avios and Nectar points in increments of 400. The minimum number of points you can exchange are 400 Avios and 400 Nectar points.
What are the maximum number of points I can convert manually?
Answer
There is no maximum cap on the numbers of points that can be converted manually per calendar month.
What are the maximum number of points I can exchange automatically?
Answer
There is no maximum cap on the number of points that can be exchanged automatically per quarter in calendar month.
I have opted in to automatically convert my points, can I change the direction I send them?
Answer
Yes you can. Just cancel your original auto-conversion, and then re-join changing the direction you wish to convert.
I automatically convert my points, can I also make manual conversions?
Answer
Yes. You may make manual conversions in addition to automatic conversions. No maximum cap applies, and both options may be used concurrently.
I want to convert my Avios to Nectar points, what information do I need to provide to convert?
Answer
You'll need to provide the date of birth and email address associated with your British Airways Club account.
If the date of birth and email address are missing from your account, you can update these manually by logging in to your account.
I've manually converted my Nectar points to Avios, how long will it take for the points to convert?

Immediately.

You'll see Avios debited from your British Airways Club account when you request your Avios to Nectar conversion, and you'll see the Nectar points credited to your account up to 10 days later.

Yes, each individual member of The British Airways Club can link to a Nectar account.
Is it just the ‘Head’ of a household account that can link to a Nectar account?

No, any member can link.
I'm a Nectar secondary card holder, can I link to my British Airways Club account?
Answer
Yes, any account holder can link – but each Nectar card can only be linked to one British Airways Club account. Therefore, each cardholder must link to a different British Airways Club account.
First AOI Transfer Bonus
How can I qualify for the bonus?
Answer
To be eligible for the 10% bonus, customers must have their Nectar account linked to their British Airways Club (BAC) account and complete their first AOI transfer from Nectar points to Avios.
I’ve made an AOI transfer before - am I still eligible?
Answer
No - the 10% bonus is only available on your very first AOI transfer. If you’ve already completed one in the past, you won’t be eligible.
When will the 10% bonus Avios appear in my account?
Answer
The 10% bonus Avios are credited on a weekly basis after your first AOI transfer from Nectar to Avios.

This is dependent on independent campaign terms and conditions.
Where else can I collect Nectar or Avios points?
Answer
You can collect Nectar points with any other Nectar collection partner. Visit the Nectar website for collection partners. You can collect Avios with any other Avios collection partner. See our collecting Avios section.
Can I use my Avios in Sainsbury’s stores?
Answer
No you can’t use Avios in Sainsbury’s stores, unless of course you’ve converted to Nectar points.

For both manual and automatic conversions, points are usually converted within minutes. However, you may have received a ‘pending message’ when converting. Please keep checking your British Airways Club account or Nectar account to see if your points have been correctly added.
If it’s been longer than 24 hours and the points are not showing, please contact us on 0344 811 0811 for Nectar and raise a missing Avios form for British Airways.

You can simply complete a manual conversion in the opposite direction to get your points back.
